Christian Kliber about 3rd FEURICH Competition 2018
Jury member Christian Kliber after the gala concert.
In the final round of the 3rd International FEURICH Competition for piano, voice, chamber music, and composition, we experienced amazing talents.
72 finalists from 21 countries––from Europe to Australia, from Japan to Tajikistan––have shown that music is the universal language of the world. Also age had no limits: This year pianists from the age of 4 up to 65 years took part.
And these were the categories in which they could shine:
- Piano solo und Duo
- Violin solo
- Voice
- new categories: composition and contemporary music
- Elena Cobb Star Prize
Taking part in the FEURICH Competition on one hand shall be a celebration of music and simply give pleasure, on the other hand be a chance for those who want to make it in the world of music.
FEURICH, the initiator of the competition, provides prize money of 5.000 Euro total for young musicians.
The Prayner Conservatory opened their wonderful Ehrbar Hall for the final gala concert. Thank you so much!
Special thanks go to our numerous partners, who support us with prize money and invitations to concert performances:

Responsible for the organization of the competition was Elena Tolstykh, director of Spielstatt music school. Host of the gala evening was Austrian actor Michael Dangl. Both have done a perfect job!
Music means passion and pure emotion. The technique plays only a supporting role. Therefore we focus on the unique artistic expression. Among all amazing performances, this year two talents convinced the jury. The Grand Prize 2018 went to Vitaly Petrov (Russia) and Kiron Atom Tellian (Austria).
Congratulations to all prize winners!
