In the week prior to the final round of the 3rd International FEURICH Competition 2018 for piano, voice, chamber music and composition we offered the opportunity to attend master classes with some of the members of the jury and to get stage experience.
Vienna has a special role in the world of classic music. This is one of the reasons, why many members of our jury arrive earlier. The organizer of the competition, Elena Tolstykh from music school Spielstatt, could convince many of them to hold master classes.
The offer contained all aspects, from pure joy for playing up to perfection in technique, from expression to virtuosity in personal interpretations. How much the participants could gain profit was proven in the later competition. By the way: Taking part in a master class does not influence the decisions of the jury during the competition.
At the end of the masterclasses a concert with the FEURICH 218 – Concert I in our Kaisersaal was performed, in which the students could win routine in performing in front of an audience and show what they have learned.
