Kanako Mizuno (Japan)

Multi-award-winning young pianist Kanako Mizuno plays the FEURICH 218 grand piano in Howden Minster in a duo concert with violinist Laura Rickard. Works by Mozart, Svendsen, Schumann and Brahms, performed by two outstanding graduates of the Royal Academy of Music. Laura has performed as soloist at Royal Festival Hall and Kanako is a winner of the Tokyo Piano Competition.

“I enjoyed playing on the FEURICH 218 Concert I grand piano in Howden Minster. It produced rich sound in the lower range which supported the violin sound beautifully. It was a great pleasure to perform on the piano in this difficult time.”

Kanako Mizuno

In a solo concert, Kanako Mizuno presents a beautiful selection of works to lift our lockdown spirits and showcase the FEURICH 218 Concert I Grand Piano in Howden Minster. A special piano concert featuring Beethoven’s ‘Moonlight’ Sonata and works by Bach, Chopin, Poulenc and Janacek.

“The FEURICH 218 grand piano in Howden Minster (Howdenshire Music Project) is a very sensitive piano. It has high potential for producing a variety of sounds which is challenging but also very exciting for concert pianists. The piano took me on a musical journey and I enjoyed exploring the music on this wonderful instrument.”
