We recommend using a humidifier in regions that require heating.<\/p>\n

A humidifier maintains at the humidity of the room at an optimum level, preventing damage such as splits in the soundboard and shrinking of the action parts. This can also stabilise the tuning, meaning less servicing and tuning is required, and saving you money over the long term.<\/p>\n

Avoid placing the instrument close to any central heating, fireplace, in direct sunlight, next to damp\/cold outer walls, windows (because of the draught). Be careful with any fluids such as cold or hot drinks etc., and sharp objects such as pens or pencils, paper-clips etc. When cleaning the surface of your instrument, take care not to use any abrasive cloths. For cleaning the keys use only a slightly damp soft cloth (under no circumstances should ethyl alcohol or solvents be used).
